Fall 2017Pure Barre is the largest barre-fitness franchise in the nation, with more than 460 studios throughout the United States and Canada. Pure Barre classes offer a total body workout, having participants use the ballet barre to perform small, isometric movements to burn fat, sculpt muscles and create long, lean physiques. Pure Barre is more than just a workout; it’s a lifestyle and a community of women supporting each other’s life and fitness goals.
In the summer of 2017, co-owners Amy Younkman and Annie Battle opened a Pure Barre franchise in South Bend, IN. I was hired to design and handletter two chalkboard murals for the lobby of their studio. One displays their pricing list and the other is a fun, exuberant display of some of the rules and mantras of Pure Barre.
